China CNC Machine Tool Fair (CCMT) 2006 will take place at the Shanghai New International Exposition Centre from February 14 to 17, 2006, Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC), the fair organizer, announces recently. 

Initiated in 2000, CCMT has been successfully organized three times. It has become an arena for enterprises in the machine tool industry to display their achievements and strength as well as an ideal platform for consumers and manufacturers to exchange and communicate ideas.

According to organizer, more than 530 enterprises will participate in the fair, displaying 500 sets of metal-cutting machine tools, forging machinery, heavy gauges, thousands of measures and cutters, matched components for machine tools and functional parts of machine tools.
 
During the fair, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence will jointly organize the "Symposium on Developing Domestically-made CNC Machine Tools." Also, a symposium on enhancing the international competitiveness of machine tool industry will be held by the Ministry of Commerce.
