Beijing to Have Longer Gov't Procurement Bill

Beijing is to organize special government procurement on May 11 at the Beijing International Conference Center during the fourth Beijing Hi-Tech Week period (May 10-15).

An official with the organizing committee of the hi-tech week told Xinhua Tuesday that local government departments will buy a total of more than 300 million yuan (US$36 million) in goods during the purchase.

It is the third time Beijing has set up a special purchase for institutional consumers. In the past two events Beijing provided 60 million and 200 million yuan respectively worth of purchase bills.
