Milutinovic Hopes Beijing Olympic Lucks Boost Chinese Soccer

China's Yugoslav head coach Bora Milutinovic wished his soccer team could borrow the good luck and euphoria from the triumphant Beijing 2008 Olympic Bid.

"I hope Beijing's good luck will continue to bring China's National soccer into the 2002 World Cup finals," said Milutinovic, the only man to guide four different teams into the second round of the World Cups.

"I am willing to present Chinese people another wonder with a ticket for the 2002 World Cup."

The globe-trotting Yugoslav who took the helm of Chinese soccer team in 2000, said he felt changes everyday in China during his one-and-a-half year stay.

"I am impressed by Beijing people. They are warm-hearted, diligent, and smart. I am impressed by them. I believe that the IOC has made the right decision,"he said.

"I hope in 2008, wherever I would be, I could come to Beijing again,"the Wonder Coach said.

Milutinovic earned US$800,000 from a two-year contract with the Chinese Football Association.
