The State Planning Commission made new demands on the plan and price departments in a meeting held a few days ago.
Plan and price departments at all levels should be clear about the aims and emphasis of their work and carry on the work in a well organized, efficient manner, the commission said.
The SPC also said coordination among different departments should be strengthened.
China's plan and price departments are required to strengthen architectural market order, tax order and monitor pyramid selling schemes according to the arrangements of local government. The departments were also asked to cooperate closely with industry and commerce administration departments and quality inspection administration departments.
