More Shanghai Residents to Travel Overseas in New Year

More people in Shanghai are planning to travel overseas during the upcoming New Year's holiday. Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Australia, Hong Kong and Macao have become the top destinations for tourists from Shanghai, according to statistics from major local travel agencies.
As a large number of Shanghai residents want to head to Hong Kong during the holiday, seats on the special tourist trains between the two cites have all been booked.
So far, over 20 foreign countries have been opened to Chinese tourists, and many overseas travel services have come to Shanghai to promote their business, offering a wider range of choices for Shanghai tourists.
