Sonorous Yet Husky

Na Ying, known for her sonorous yet husky voice, will hold her first mainland solo concert at the Shanghai Grand Stage this coming Sunday.

Last year, she held a successful solo concert in Hong Kong, and plans to bring the show to Shanghai. However, her song line-up will be changed, with more numbers added.

The Beijing-based singer is also known for her quick and straight wit. She even made it known to the public that she didn't like the boyfriend of her close friend, Hong Kong pop diva Faye Wong.

Her relationship with Chinese football star Gao Feng is a localized version of the Beckham-Victoria story.

Na's recent album was criticized for lack of originality, but pop fans in China still believe in her creativity.
