Fifth Shanghai International Film Festival Scheduled This June

The fifth Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is to be held from June 9 to 17 in Shanghai. Starting from this year, it will be held every first half of June.

Ratified by the State Council and approved by the International Association of Film Producers (IAFP), SIFF, the only international film festival of China that was founded in 1993, now has developed into one of the nine Grade-A International film festivals. The nine-day festival features the four events consisting of the "Jin Jue" (Golden Cup) Award international film competition,           international films exhibition, international film market and the related seminar on films, of which, Jin Jue award is expected to be the highlight of the film gala.

Some 120 movies from 26 countries and regions including Australia, Iceland, Poland, Denmark, Germany, Russia, France, ROK, the USA, Japan, India, China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, etc will participate in this grand gathering.
