A variant of Nimda worm virus named "Bin Laden" swept China on November 7, which is made to attack users' Windows operation system.

Based on Nimda virus, improvement was made and techniques as compression and coding applied to make the virus more vicious, according to anti-virus experts.

Seeking loopholes of Outlook, "Bin Laden" damages computer files when users browse e-mails containing virus. Once user moves his mouse onto the e-mail title, the virus would break out and make the infected computer automatically send out numerous virus e-mails. Experts say the attacking power of "Bin Laden" equals to the combination of "Happy Times" and "Blue Code".

Technical solution has been published and experts warm computer users to guard against the virus so as to prevent it from further spreading.
