Cultural Relics to Be Displayed in Shanghai

Twenty-two artworks treasured in the Summer Palace in Beijing will travel to Shanghai for display in November, eastday.com reported.

These authentic paintings and calligraphy of ancient celebrities have never been taken out from the Summer Place. This time, they are sent to Shanghai for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Shanghai Museum. After the celebration is over, they will be sent back to the capital right away.

As priceless cultural relics of ancient Chinese dynasties, these artworks will be well insured on their Shanghai tour. But the Summer Palace keeper didn't specify which insurance company they have chosen for the tour.

The Summer Palace also indicated that it might be the first also the last "outing" for these artworks because they are so valuable, and hinted whether second trip exits all depend on the security of the November display.
