Taiwan High-Tech Enterprises at Beijing Sci-Tech Fair

Forty-five Taiwanese high-tech enterprises made their debuts at the Fifth China Beijing International Scientific and Technological Industries Fair, which opened Thursday, constituting the first high-tech exchange between the mainland and Taiwan.

The Taiwan enterprises are forerunners in industries such as software, wireless application, optoelectronics and personal computers.

An expert from the Taipei Computer Association, one of the organizers of the Taiwan delegation, said that the collective debut demonstrated the strong wish of Taiwan industries to further cooperate with their mainland counterparts, who enjoy abundant human resources, stable development environment and large market potential.

An increasing number of Taiwan enterprises realize that cross-Strait cooperation will help better develop high-tech industries in China's mainland and Taiwan.
