China's First Publishing Trade Center Opens in Shanghai

The Oriental Publishing Trade Center, China's first such comprehensive source for publications and related information, opened in Shanghai yesterday.

Besides exhibiting publications by the country's 326 publishing houses, the trade center also handles time bargains, spot transactions, information release and distribution business.

Jointly funded by several publishing companies across the country, this trade center aims to provide services not only in Shanghai but also to bookstores, libraries, schools and institutions outside the city.

A website affiliated with the trade center, ISBNOK.com, has also been launched.

Publishers, wholesalers and retailers can use this virtual business platform to make real-time, one-stop transactions and develop it into the country's No.1 publication business network.
