Smuggled Ivory Statues Seized

A customs officer in Shanghai checks a batch of ivroy statues of Bodhisattva, the goddess of mercy, his office discovered recently while checking suspect mail leaving China.

A total of 269 such ivory sculptures, the largest haul of its kind so far found, were seized.
