County of Centenarians

Centenarian Huang Lianying (left), chats with 100-year-old Lin Zeqing at Yueli Village of Fengshan County in southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The county now has a population of 180,000 with more than 90 people aged over 100, such as 102-year-old Huang.

Experts suggested the unpolluted environment and local people’s appetite for corn and vegetables may attribute to the unusual longevity.
