Government Staff Favor English learning

Two civil servants exchange their English learning experiences in a park in Shapingba District of Chongqing, a municipality in southwest China, on December 17, 2001.

Most of the civil servants in the municipality are in a fever of English learning as the municipal government calls on the governmental staff to grasp the universally used language in preparation of the potential investment chances after China's entry to WTO.
