Fake Health Products to Be Cracked Down

The Ministry of Health said November 9 that it will make efforts to crack down on low-quality cosmetics, fake disposable injectors, and fake edible oil.

The ministry issued a notice on November 5 announcing the measures to be taken against the making and selling of the above health-related products, and asked health departments at all levels to cooperate with the ministry’s endeavor.

Zhao Tonggang, director of the ministry’s department of health laws and supervision, said that despite the ministry’s repeatedly call for strict management, some used injectors have been used a second time on patients, threatening the safety of people.

The ministry has asked local health departments to check the usage of one-off injectors and submit the results to it, and check-ups of cosmetics and fake edible oil will also increase.
