Mr. Palau committed his life to Jesus Christ at age of 12. At age 18, began preaching on weekends while working at an Argentine bank. By 1957, he and several other young men organized a tent evangelism and radio ministry in Argentina.

Mr. Palau has published 45 books and booklets in English and Spanish, including High Definition Life (Revell Publishing, a division of Banker Publishing, 2005), It's a God Thing (Doubleday, 2001), Where Is God When Bad Things Happen? (Doubleday, 1999), God Is Relevant (Doubleday, 1997) and The Only Hope for America (Crossway Book, 1996).

"We came at it from the points of view of an atheist and a believer, but we soon realized that we have a lot in common as human beings, that we respect each other and we enjoy each other's company. I am truly impressed by Mr. Zhao's knowledge of not only science and philosophy, but also culture, international relations and theology. He elicited from me things I haven't thought about in 30 years. We are going to publish our conversations in English and I hope the book will help Americans understand the mindset of a thinking person in China, his enthusiasm for knowledge and the amazing changes taking place in China." - Dr. Palau
