Cold Air to Strengthen in China Over next 10 Days
Adjust font size:

Cold air moving in over most parts of China will cause temperatures in the south to dip lower than normal over the next 10 days, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) forecast on Monday.

Rain and snow in south China will end in three days, while moderate cold air will affect the middle and lower Yangtze valley and areas north of it from Jan. 24 through 27.

On Jan. 24 and 25, light snow and a north wind will bring down temperatures in south China, areas south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, eastern part of northwest China and north China.

Skies will clear from Jan. 25 to 27 in most of northwest China, while temperatures will drop in north China, southern part of northeast China and the Yellow and Huaihe river valleys in the wake of snow.

On Jan 27 and 28, light to moderate snow will blanket northeast China.
