Weather Station Helps Plan Eco-town

Shanghai has set up its most advanced climate observation station on Chongming Island to monitor the well-conserved habitat for migrant birds, city officials said yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.

Located in the island's Dongtan area, a conservation wetland in the east, the observation station is five meters above ground and covers 600 square meters.
