A dead bird earlier in Hong Kong was confirmed to be H5N1 positive after a series of laboratory tests, said Hong Kong's Agriculture Fisheries and Conservation Department Friday.
It said the long-tailed Shrike collected on March 3 by department staff was confirmed affected by H5N1 virus. The department will follow the development of the situation.
