The two sides exchanged views on pushing forward the development of the Sino-US relations and the process of the six-party talks.

The current round of the six-party talks on the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsular recessed on Thursday. Top Chinese envoy to the six-party talks Wu Dawei said it would restart soon.

Also on Thursday, Wu said in a Chairman's Statement that the parties agreed that they will continue to advance the process of the six-party talks, and reaffirmed that they will faithfully carry out their commitments in the September 19 joint statement and the February 13 joint document.
