Enterprises from Hong Kong and Taiwan Eye Mainland's Capital Market
Enterprises from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Taiwan are keen to seek listing on the mainland's stock market, sources said in Beijing on Monday.

Organizers of a forum on China's capital market and foreign investment, which is scheduled to be held from October 12 to 13 here, said that Hong Kong and Taiwan enterprises are very active in attending the forum, which is China's first seminar specifically focusing on the stock listing of overseas-funded enterprises.

Experts said that Hong Kong and Taiwan-based enterprises are familiar with the mainland's market policies and eager to participate in the flourishing market.

Senior officials from the State Council, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and other departments have hinted possibilities of allowing foreign-funded enterprises to enter China's capital market early this year.

Relevant policies and regulations are being made now, sources said.
