Lucent Technology Co.Ltd, the world's largest producer of telecommunications facilities, is touring China to introduce its products and services with the aim of expanding its business in the country.
In Hangzhou, capital of eastern China's Zhejiang province and the second stop on Lucent's trade-promotion tour, Lucent on Wednesday held a symposium to recommend its database network solution projects to local network users from government, schools and businesses.
So far, Lucent has launched seven regional offices, eight research and development centers, eight joint ventures and three wholly foreign-owned companies in China.
To date, about 75 percent of the world's top 500 companies including Microsoft, Siemens and Motorola have launched businesses in China.
