Adjust font size:

The route of the torch relay for the 2008 Olympic Games will be released in the near future, the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee (BOCOG) said.

A BOCOG executive board meeting listened to a report Thursday afternoon on the scheme of the ceremony to announce the relay route and torch design.

"According to the arrangement made by BOCOG and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the route and torch will be officially announced in the near future," BOCOG said in a news release.

The BOCOG was also briefed on the launch of ticket sales.

"Based on the IOC rules and China's conditions, the sales process should be just, open and transparent," BOCOG said.
