Malaysia Forecasts Heavy Rains in Northern Peninsular

Malaysian Meteorological Department Wednesday forecast heavy rains in the northern peninsular for the coming weekend.

 

Widespread moderate to heavy rains are expected to hit Kelantan, Terengganu and northern Pahang this Friday and last until next Monday, the department said.

 

For some other states including Perlis, Kedah, Penang and northern Perak, the wet spell is expected from Saturday to next Monday, the department said in a statement on its official website.

 

In eastern Malaysia, moderate rains over several divisions in Sarawak are expected to persist until Thursday while in Sabah state, the rainfall will go on until Sunday.
