Veteran actress Liu Xiaoqing encouraged two disfigured young men to face difficulties bravely during a charity event held by a plastic surgery hospital.

The Dahe Daily reported that some children disfigured in an explosion in Nanyang 12 years ago have grown into young men but have never received compensations from the accident.

A plastic surgery hospital located in Zhengzhou in central China's Henan Province announced that they would perform plastic surgeries for those disfigured boys for free.

Hearing this news, Liu Xiaoqing expressed her concern and met with two of those disfigured young men.

"Don't be disappointed. I believe that you will become handsome guys with the help of medical experts." Liu Xiaoqing said.
