The Masai Mara savanna in Kenya witnesses the largest immigration of herbivore every year. About 1.3 million gnus, together with large amount of zebras and gazelles, move from the Serengeti Plain in Tanzania to pasture here in June. The change of rainfall patterns is the largest threat to its fragile ecological system.
