A cold front will hit most parts of China over the coming three days, the meteorological authorities said Saturday.

Temperatures will drop 4-8 degrees Celsius, the National Meteorological Center said on its website.

Temperatures might drop even more, by 10 to 14 degrees Celsius, in north and northeast China.

Experts warned the public to be on guard against fire accidents on windy days as they try to keep warm against the falling temperatures.

Northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region experienced snow and sleet with temperature drops of eight to 14 degrees Celsius Friday.
