Vietnam to host int'l conference on climate

Vietnam will host the 6th international conference on community-based adaptation to climate change (CBA-6) in mid April 2012, announced the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on Wednesday.

The conference expects to attract 250 delegates, including 150 foreigners, representing climate change management institutes, international non-government organizations and donors.

During six days of working, delegates will exchange experience and discuss measures to enhance mutual understanding and capability to adapt to climate change, as well forecast and handle natural disasters' consequence.

The 5th CBA conference was held in March 2011 in Bangladesh, with focus on sharing the latest developments in adaptation planning and practices, priority sectors and measures at different levels, and disseminating knowledge among stakeholders and communities, reported MARD.
