China's meteorological authority said Wednesday that overcast weather and rain will continue in the country's southern regions over the coming three days.

Moderate rain will fall in central-eastern parts of regions south of the Yangtze River, as well as eastern parts of south China from March 7-9, the National Meteorological Center said.

Meanwhile, eastern and southern parts of Jiangxi province, western parts of Fujian Province, southwestern parts of Zhejiang Province, and northern parts of Guangdong Province will experience heavy rain during the period, the center forecast.
