Meteorological authorities on Wednesday forecast temperature drops and strong winds in north China for the next few days due to a strong cold front.

A cold front heading from the country's west to the east will lower temperatures by 6 to 10 degrees Celsius in most northern regions starting Wednesday, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on its website.

Some northern regions will experience gales, as well as temperature drops of 14 degrees Celsius, the center said.
