5.1-magnitude quake hits Izu Islands, Japan region

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted Izu Islands, Japan region at 23:04:18 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 48.80 km, was initially determined to be at 29.3302 degrees north latitude and 141.8019 degrees east longitude.
