5.4-magnitude quake hits Atacama, Chile

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Atacama, Chile at 15:39:24 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey, monitored here, reported.

The epicenter, with a depth of 15.40 km, was initially determined to be at 26.1587 degrees south latitude and 69.3447 degrees west longitude.
