Storm wrecks havoc in Britain

 

Fierce storm Dirk with strong winds and torrential rains lashed Britain before Christmas holiday, triggering flooding in large swath of the country. At least six people were killed and hundreds of homes were forced to evacuate. Thousands of people were left without electricity on Christmas Day. The powerful storm also caused traffic chaos in the county. Major roads and bridges were closed, and a large number of passengers were stranded in airport due to flight delays and cancellations.
