Adjust font size:

Quake-hit Sichuan province suffered a 4.1-magnitude tremor in Zigong city on Friday, injuring 39.

The quake hit Zigong at about midnight, with the epicenter in the suburbs. There were no reports of fatalities or collapsed houses.

An official of the provincial seismological bureau said the latest tremor was not an aftershock of the 8.1-magnitude Wenchuan earthquake, which killed more than 80,000 in May.
