The 2009 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF) will be held here from April 2 to 4, which will promote the concept of " environmental greenness", the government of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) announced on Tuesday.

With the theme "A Global Green Gathering Environment, Business, Connection", the MIECF, hosted by the SAR government, will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Center of the Venetian Macao casino resort.

The forum-led event with supplementary exhibition and business matching was aimed to spearhead and promote greater local and international co-operation in the sharing of the latest green technologies and solutions for critical environmental issues demanding urgent attention and immediate response, the government said in a press release.

The Macao Pavilion will also be established at the 2009 MIECF, and the government urged local enterprises and business institutions to actively participate in the event.
