The 2009 China International Energy Saving, Emission Reduction and New Energy Science and Technology Expo will be held at the Beijing Exhibition Center, in central Beijing, on March 19-23.

The expo, the largest of its kind in China, will be co-sponsored by 13 central departments including the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, according to the organizer.

On display will be exhibits of more than 200 companies and institutions from a dozen foreign countries, including the United States and Japan.

The 23,00 square-meter expo will be divided into four zones: "government exhibition zone," "corporate exhibition zone," "technological and trade service zone," and "science popularization zone."

A series of forums will be held during the expo.

The expo will also provide visitors and exhibitors with consultative services in the fields of financing, patent and law, the organizer said.
