Wuhan Lady's Plastic Surgery Dreams Failed
Adjust font size:

Plastic surgery failed to help a forty-something lady, alias Xue Lan, in her quest to look like Hong Kong star Lydia Sum.

A successful entrepreneur with three clothes stores, Xue Lan wanted to make herself look more like a wealthy lady and decided to remodel her face to look like Lydia Sum after years of being a hard-core fan. She says she has always wanted to do something to compensate herself for all her years of hard work.

The Chutian Golden Post reports Xue Lan was inspired by the story of a man in Wuhan city in Central China, who successfully altered his face to resemble the TV host Li Yong. She consulted the hospital that treated the man to see if they could help her attain her dream.

But the surgeons told her it would be impossible to transform her face to look like Lydia Sum because their features are completely different. He persuaded her to try some procedures that would make her look younger and prettier instead.

Hospital Director Zhou Libo says only a few people can use plastic surgery to resemble stars and advises people to make more rational choices in relation to plastic surgery.
