Beijing's First Family Health Care Training Base Set up
Adjust font size:

With 2 million elderly people in Beijing, and few health-care workers to serve them, Beijing has set up its first family-health-care training base. According to China Youth Daily, starting mid this month, dozens of home service workers have begun receiving first-aid and care training.

These home service workers are different from ordinary ones. They can not only do general household work, but also have first-aid and care skills for the elderly and sick. Moreover, they provide a nutritional diet for family members they serve.

As parents of the first only-child generation age, it's harder for young couples to take care of four elderly people at the same time. Heads of several hospitals are also looking to recruit some care workers from the training company.
