One Dengue fever confirmed in Hong Kong

Hong Kong Center for Health Protection confirmed Wednesday the year's 17th imported case of Dengue fever involving a 34-year-old woman who traveled to the Philippines from July 9 to 21.

She came down with a fever and rash on July 21 and was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital on July 25, a press release from the center said. She is in stable condition.

There were 58 imported Dengue fever cases in Hong Kong in 2007.
