Hong Kong reports 326 new cases of A/H1N1 flu

Hong Kong has confirmed 326 cases of A/H1N1 flu in the 24 hours to 2:30 pm on Friday, bringing the total number of infections to 8,535 in the city, medical authorities said.

A spokesman from the Center of Health Protection said the new cases involve 174 males and 152 females, aged between six months and 78 years.

Meanwhile, the city's Hospital Authority said currently 70 confirmed patients are staying in public hospitals for treatment. Among them, 58 are in stable condition, three in serious and nine in critical condition.
