11 tested for new flu in HK

A spokesman for the Department of Health of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region said in the 24 hours to noon on Tuesday, 11 people fulfilling influenza A/H1N1 reporting criteria were reported to the Center for Health Protection (CHP).

"They are in stable condition and laboratory results of their specimens are pending," the spokesman said.

So far, a total of 84 cases fulfilling the reporting criteria were received. Seventy-two of them tested negative.

Up to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the CHP's hotline had received 1,947 calls since it was set up on April 30.
