Taiwan confirms second case of A/H1N1 flu

Taiwan's health authorities say a 22-year-old female is confirmed to be the island's second case of the A/H1N1 influenza.

She was a student from New York who arrived in Taiwan on a flight from the United States via Hong Kong.

According to authorities, she had a sore throat before boarding the plane and wore a mask throughout the flight.

She has been quarantined.

Xinhua is seeking more details from its bureau.

Taiwan's health authorities confirmed a 52-year-old man, who also flew in from the United States, as the island's first confirmed A/H1N1 case Wednesday.
