Indian on Tuesday said the United States is the source of the growing number of A/H1N1 flu cases in the country and the lack of proper screening in U.S. has led to an outbreak of the pandemic.

"The U.S. is the main source as far as India is concerned. In Mexico when people leave the airport, they are properly monitored and screened. Similarly Americans should also provide some kind of screening at the point of departure," Indian Minister of State for Health Dinesh Trivedi told the media.

India has confirmed a total of 30 A/H1N1 flu cases so far, and most of the patients came from the United States.
