Chinese mainland reports 42 new A/H1N1 flu cases

The Chinese mainland confirmed 42 new A/H1N1 flu cases Thursday, bringing the total to 570 with no fatalities.

The capital, Beijing, reported 10 new cases and southern Guangdong Province reported seven from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. Thursday, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Financial hub Shanghai confirmed four new cases and Shandong Province confirmed three.

The provinces of Fujian and Jiangsu each reported six and Liaoning reported two, while Anhui, Sichuan, Guangxi and Hebei each reported one.

The statement said 321 patients had recovered and discharged from hospitals.
