Both of the two newly confirmed cases were imported, and the patients were local residents, according to Macao's Health Bureau.

One of the patients is a 22-year-old woman who is a student of the University of Macao and has been to Hong Kong on July 7, while the other one is a 20-year-old man who fell ill after returning to Macao from Foshan, a city of neighboring Guangdong province, on July 9, according to the Bureau.

The Bureau has also put the parents of the two patients under medical observation at their own residences.

According to the statistics from the Bureau, some 20 patients were still receiving medical treatment in local hospitals and their health condition remained stable.
