Vietnam's A/H1N1 flu cases rise to 2,312

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health confirmed 86 more cases of A/H1N1 influenza, raising the country's total number of flu patients to 2,312, local newspaper the Labor reported Friday.

So far, flu patients have been detected in 44 out of 63 municipalities and provinces in the country, said Nguyen Huy Nga, head of the Preventive Health and Environment Department.

The number of schools which have students infected with A/H1N1 influenza keeps increasing, said the newspaper.

In Hanoi, capital city of Vietnam, there have been 15 secondary and high schools where students positive with A/H1N1 virus were found. In Ho Chi Minh City, infected students have been detected in more than 20 schools.

Out of the country's total cases, 1,267 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The rest are being quarantined and treated.

In Vietnam, two deaths of A/H1N1 influenza have been confirmed since its outbreak.
