The 14th China-ASEAN Senior Officials' Consultation concluded Friday following a review of the past year's progress in China-ASEAN relations, according to reports from Bandar Seri Begawan, capital of Brunei.

The three-day meeting focused on discussing further implementation of the consensus reached at the China-ASEAN summit last year and strengthening measures to deepen the strategic partnership for peace and prosperity between China and ASEAN.

The two sides also exchanged views on their development situations and East Asian cooperation as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

In addition, all parties concerned exchanged views on jointly implementing follow-up actions of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea.

Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Hongbo and senior officials and representatives from the ASEAN countries attended the meeting.
