Vice president meets Thai FM
Adjust font size:

China is ready to promote strategic cooperation with Thailand, said Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Monday at a meeting with Thai Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama.

Xi pointed to the good relations between China and Thailand, saying it has always been the common consensus of both sides to advance the friendly cooperation that has been the hallmark of their relationship.

China attaches great importance to the ties and is willing to make efforts with Thailand to deepen strategic cooperation.

Noppadon said Thailand is also ready to advance the development of strategic cooperation.

Thailand adheres to the one-China policy, said Noppadon, noting that the Taiwan and Tibet issues are Chinese internal affairs. Other countries should not interfere.

Noppadon is on an official visit to China from April 14 to 15.
