China, Niger to build second bridge across Niger river
Adjust font size:

China and Niger Wednesday signed a contract in Niger's capital city Niamey, under which China will help Niger build the second bridge across the Niger river.

Chinese Ambassador to Niger Chen Gonglai and Niger's Equipment Minister Moumouni Lamido Harouna appeared in the signing ceremony and signed the contract on behalf of their governments.

"The two governments are both very satisfied with the signing of the contract, because building the second bridge is necessary to improve Nigerian people's living conditions," Chen said.

Chen believed that the bridge will not only benefit the people living by the river, but also promote the development of Nigerian economy.

Harouna said the quick signing of the contract is a win-win result and proves that China and Niger enjoy a sincere relationship.
