1st int'l aid from Russia to arrive in quake-hit Sichuan

The first batch of international aid to quake-hit China, donated by Russia, will arrive in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday by plane, a government official said.

More than 24 tons of disaster relief materials including tents and quilts would be airdropped to worst hit areas as early as possible, the official with the Sichuan provincial government said.
